"Good Deal Companies" are those that offer low prices and fast delivery because they don't have adequately documented production or engineering systems. Almost ALL companies start as "Good Deal Companies"
A capable person or group of capable people are in charge of manufacturing a key product being sold to a large company (a "Key Customer"). During the course of business they connect with the "Key Customer" company's management. They know the "Key Customer" company respects and depends on them.
The company that the capable group works for may have managerial problems. Most likely, they are paying the cost of engineering the key product. In any case it's perceived by the capable group that they could manufacture the key product and offer a lower price.
One day a member of the capable group meets in secret with the "Key Customer" company and asks if they would receive "Key Customer" business if they were to start their own company. A "Good Deal" in lower price almost always causes the reply in this case to be yes.
