First step: data collection

I collect all the artwork and photographs used in your portfolios and brochures.  I would like copies of your latest brochures and all your old brochures too.  I will use these to create a graphics format for your website that clearly represents the company's image and heritage.

I collect Order Forms that you presently use to produce product (if applicable).  We will improve and correct order forms if necessary.  If you use order forms, the best order for presenting information is accomplished by conforming the order of the website and its presentations to that of a precisely designed order form.

I collect all spreadsheets and databases containing information required to fill out each Order Form.

I collect information about your competitors and your industry.  You must supply me with competitor names, addresses, web addresses and their ranking in your industry.   I need current copies of their portfolios, brochures, order forms and any advertising, sales, and technical writings obtainable.  I need current copies of periodicals published for your industry.

We determine the position of banners, menus, the viewing area for Flash video presentations and related Flash animations, photographs, or artwork.  This requires your approval and will require you viewing a few web pages online.

I create and submit the first version of your website for approval

I get approval from you on:  artwork, order forms and related data, and positioning of:  artwork, banners, menus, photographs, videos and related Flash animations.

Note that approvals only require you viewing your website on line.

• You communicate approval and/or remedial instructions by phone or email.

• Changes required by you will be made and the reworked website will be resubmitted for your approval until you are satisfied.
